We watched a movie named The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence today. It was an old time western movie that includes bandits and the Wild West. There was a Batten Down the Hatches to do in Schoology. Students should also finish all their missing work.

October 28th
Today was a FLEX day, so after BDTH, we had the opportunity to complete any unfinished work. If you wish to get ahead, you may work on the new Inquizitives posted in D2L.

October 8th, 2024
We completed BDTH first and worked on annotating the article we chose on Monday for our topic.
October 3rd (Crow’s Nest 4th Pd.)
Today we finished writing our synthesis essay (due on the 6th) and if you have finished, you work on inquisitive, which is due at the end of the quarter.

Today, after the battening down the hatches, we finished reading and annotating the academic article we chose yesterday.
October 7, 2024
We started off the day with BDTH 1.22. After that, we looked at annotated articles by Mrs. Riley and found many common factors that she uses to annotate. We then picked our own article in this week’s folder to annotate ourselves using the skimming and scanning technique. She then gave us time to fully annotate our article. This article will be used for our research essay next quarter!

Today is carnival day! We began the class by completing BDTH: 1.12. After finishing BDTH, we had the rest of the class for a work day for the Interview Reflection. DUE DATE: 9/22

Yesterday, there was a power outage! Don’t worry about anything from yesterday for today. Stay Safe!
September, 3rd
Today, Mrs. Riley was absent due to Covid and we also had block scheduling. Due to her absence, there was no Batten Down the Hatches and we were to work on three assignments for today.
First, we were to write a 300 word reflection on our Extended Metaphor Essay. Second, we had to log onto Gimkit and do the assignment under the assignment tab. Third, we had to make a Freerice account at www.freerice.com, join the group with the code: Q9SEERCK, and play the game.
The class has a total of 1 hour and 38 minutes to complete these 3 tasks. The reflection is due on September, 4th at 11:59 PM. We hope Captain Riley makes a speedy recovery!
