Please, please, please – double check your grades! Especially if you turned something in late!

Today, we started reviewing for the Beowulf test (which got moved to Thursday!) and then we started watching The 13th Warrior, a movie that is based on Beowulf. It was originally a novel written by Michael Crighton, the man who wrote Jurassic Park, Timeline, and other blockbuster movies.

When writing The Eaters of the Dead, he based it off of two things: Beowulf and Ahmad ibn Fadlan’s accounts of traveling with the Volga Vikings. If you really like the story, you can borrow my copy of the book to read.

Hope you guys enjoy the movie – it’s my favorite Beowulf movie out there!

We’ll finish up the movie tomorrow, review on Wednesday, and then take the test on Thursday. Remember – there are a LOT of review games in Blackboard for you to play!
