A few notes that we had today:

The end of the grading period is next week – SERIOUSLY! We don’t have time for procrastination. Every single person in here (except me!) has the goal of graduating and leaving in May/June, so make sure that your actions match your words. Don’t start in a deficit!

Thursday, we have play preview, but if you are failing, you’ll be staying in the classroom to get caught up on grades.

I won’t be here tomorrow, but I’m leaving legitimate work for you to do (vocabulary from Beowulf) that you’ll see again on the 6 weeks test next eek.

Speaking of tests, the 6 weeks test will be next Tuesday! Multiple choice!

So today, we worked on and/or finished the Apply Texas essay. The goal is around 500 words, but focus more on answering the essay prompt rather than a word count.

I’m going to start pulling people for Panther Den RTI soon, so check those schedules!

Hope to see your parents at Open House tonight!

Arghh, mateys!

We started out today by coloring. Yeah. And people say that Riley is HARD. Hah.

Each person chose a marker and couldn’t trade it in. The crew then had to draw one cohesive picture on posterboard and use each color at least once. You can’t switch out markers to the person who was the artist.

Here are the final posters:

Then we went to LMS and went to the Carpe Diem folder – the one with the sun on it. We worked on the 13 Questions – that is the pre-writing that is in the drop box.

After that, we worked on making our own Bucket List. There will be a rough draft grade and a final draft grade. The rough draft will be a completion grade and the final copy will be a poster. Riley suggested Glogster, but you can use any program as long as it is a pretty poster. The poster will be due on Friday in the drop box.
